In March, Streetwise Media BostInno, highlighted an innovative Election-Tech Startup. Agora Town Hall uses the same processes to engage voters that it uses to engage employees in businesses. Agora Town Hall has found major success including investor funding and an invitation to the White House to share her start-up success. Elsa Sze tells people her company isn’t a nonprofit, but rather a “ventured-backed company, having a social mission.” As BostInno contributor Galen Moore notes:
Agora Town Hall started out as a company with a mission to change what happens on election day–and the day after. The startup runs online town halls designed to facilitate civic engagement. But they’ve also been running these “town halls” inside companies, where employee engagement is kind of a big deal.
